Have you listened to yesterday’s episode yet?
Tune in and follow along as I discuss the aftermath of my most recent surgery and how such a terrible accident led to me pursuing what I love to do, which is write.
Also at the end of the episode listen to me read my poem, “do you remember when you knew you were a poet?” in honor of World Poetry Day which was this past Sunday!!
Listen to the whole episode here.
May your screams be so loud they grab their throats
Intimidation is flattery
For the only reason they lit their fire is because yours was uncontrollable
I love to dance in the train
But only when the tea is silent
Pouring from a roaring spout
Only leaves me in distress
Undress the smile of the outgoing girl
And you’d find her at home
Comforting the pieces of herself
That were never dressed at all
Lately it seems like the rain falls to the beat of my heart
Thunder serving its purpose as a reminder
And when it shakes the windows in my home
My heart skips a beat
Reminding me I’m still alive
Hidden messages revealed
Written on the glass
Of how I love you still
Quiet me with words
Develop your sense of touch
Celebrate with me
